Pieced Together - The Book

This book is a sampling of hundreds of collage pieces created over the last year by clients at Ukiah Recovery Center. Along with a one-month gallery exhibition, it is the culmination of a year-long community project funded by the California Arts Council’s Upstate Creative Corps grant. The Deep Valley Arts Collective has been home to weekly collage groups with community members in active recovery, and hosted monthly collage groups with the public, all held at Medium Art Gallery. This project was created to address the overwhelming need for community awareness of alcohol and substance use in our County, and collage is a powerful medium that lends itself uniquely to addressing the many societal pressures underlying addiction.

Proceeds to toward a scholarship for Sober Living Environment graduates from the Ford Street Project in Ukiah, California.
